Day 1

We left our house about 7:20 this morning.  Had a quick pitstop at the Lockwood's to pick up a bag of homemade Beef Jerky for the road (Thanks Jay).  On our first stop for gas in Santa Nella guess who we ran into at the Pilot Travel Center, Dennis Westby who lives right behind us.  He was driving up to see his sister in San Mateo.  Who would guess!!  We finally call it a night in the famous town of WEED (thinking of you Jay) around 6:30 and pull into a great little RV Park w/ hook ups.  Wow...we are with the high rollers!  Only took us about 15 minutes to set up our trailer and it was home sweet home.  Dinner outside in our new lounge chairs with a few cold beers, then hot showers and kicking back now.  Judy's job to keep up the journal while Buddy kicks back watching a movie.  Stay tune for the pictures, since the only thing we forgot was the cable to download from the camera to the laptop.  We drove 611 miles today in 11 hours, but it seemed to be an easy drive. Great surprise for tomorrow...we are going to dive up and stay in Tacoma, WA at the Elks Lodge and Buddy's son Scott and his family are going to drive over from Silverdale, WA and meet us for dinner.  Nite all! :-)
